I was in town as my daughter was visiting ST Ben's. American Burger was across the street from the Hotel I was staying at so I decided to try it. It was a Friday night during lent so I had the Walleye. It was Excellent!! the mashed potatoes were made with real potatoes and the asparagas was tender, could have used a piece of bread though. I watched a Basketball game and the Bartender was very friendly,( even though she worked too hard ) and we had a good conversation about basketball, the brownie fudge desert she recommended was awesome too. A group of 15 of us were there in jan. Since there were so many of
us, we asked to use the back room. We were told that because we did not
call ahead it would be a $50 dollor charge- even though no one had it
reserved. We stayed any way, but the food was over priced and not very

We had a real problem using the deal chicken coupons tat we bought from the St. Cloud Times Deal Chicken.com
The first time we went to use them it was Saturday night Dec 3rd. The owner said that we could not use them until Monday December 5th. It said nothing about this on the certificate and they claimed it was on line so I went home and checked.I could not find it anywhere. Then we went last nite with my senior citizen parents,to use our coupons,once again we were given a rash of grief from these people. Only 1 coupon per table!!! It does say that on the certificate but in all the years I have been a waitress 1 check is considered 1 table, but not at this place!!!! Dad asked why if we are doing seperate checks can we not use them and she said" 1 PER TABLE AND IF YOU WANT TO USE 2 YOU WILL HAVE TO MOVE TO ANOTHER TABLE THEN WE CAN HONOR IT" SO MUCH FOR A NICE SUPPER WITH MOM AND DAD. UNLESS I HEAR DIRECTLY FROM THE OWNER I WILL NEVER GO BACK BECAUSE OF THE WAY WE WERE TREATED!!! WE BOUGHT THESE CERTIFICATES SO IT WASN'T LIKE WE WERE TRYING TO RIP THEM OFF OR ANYTHING ELSE. WE JUST WANTED TO USE THE CERTIFICATES THAT WE PAID FOR ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Sat, 2011-12-10 12:25)
