This is a gem of a restaurant, located off the beaten path but worth every mile of the drive to get there. While the busy bar scene is worthy of note, it is the food that is the true winner here. Jeff, owner and head chef, has a strong record of experience, having worked at both Jax and Hotel Sofitel in Minneapolis. He has brought that well-learned skill to the north-woods and turned it loose with exceptional results. While there is much to try on their menu, which receive high acclaim, I had their crab-cakes, which were excellent. Not just good, but excellent. I can't wait to try more items, because I am definitely going back! If you are in the area, it is a must stop for truely great food. (Sun, 2011-05-01 11:05)
