I wanted to say what a delight it was to have Catie's cater a family get-together. The food was wonderful and everybody commented how great it was. Catie's supplied everything we needed. I was seriously considering having this place cater and make the cake for my wedding. However, after talking to others who had similar services done, I've decided against it. Apparently the hospital has them cater breakfast periodically and it's never arrived on time. I just don't trust the gal at Catie's. I need my food on time at my wedding! (Tue, 2011-12-27 15:32)

Is there anyone out there who has ordered a cake or a catering service and had it arrive on time? Unbelievable!!! That gal may be nice, but she doesn't know how to get things done on time. Absolutely delightful homemade food and friendly service at Catie's Cafe. The soups are all delicious my favorite sandwich is the Southwest Turkey with avocado and chipolte mayo on rye. I was very excited when I went and spoke with the lady who bakes the cakes at Catie's Cafe. She seemed very eager and willing to work with me on everything. Due to that I chose Catie's Cafe to bake my wedding cake. I was so happy to keep my business in the town that I live. Well things sort of snowballed. At my bridal shower, Catie's Cafe did the catering along with the cake. First off the food and cake didn't arrive until 2pm when the shower was supposed to start. It was orginally supposed to be there at 10:30 am. Second the cake was not very appealing, it looked like it was thrown together last minute. However it did taste fantastic and so did the food that was catered in. Now since I was the bride I looked at the cake and was very dissapointed and worried on how my cake was going to turn out since my wedding was only 2 months away. Because of this I had them bake a "mock" cake that was to be designed how it was going to show up on the day of the wedding. For the most part it was fine. However, there were some large details that were missing from the cake, for instance, our initals. Secondly the design around each tier was different than discussed. I was glad that we had done this mock up I felt we were going to get everything fixed. We were able to inform them of the changes that needed to be made and I thought everything was going to be fine. Well I was wrong. I found out after the wedding (thank goodness) that the cake didn't show up until around 5:30 pm, it was supposed to be there by 10am. The bridal party was supposed to enter the reception area at 5:15, however, I wasn't aware of the problem because my cordinator had done an amazing job of keeping me away from the scene of the crime. When I first saw the cake I was happy with it, but the initals were still not what was discussed. But I got over it. Catie's Cafe can bake a very amazing cake, but if you want it to arrive on time, don't count on it. I will never recommend them because they messed up TWICE with the same wedding. Just enjoyed the Spinach Quiche and Sticky Buns--wow, fantastic! Ordered a day ahead on the quiche and it wasn't done when I came. It was no big deal as I had extra time, but Tammy was so apologetic, offered to bring it to my location, and gave it to me free of charge! I thoroughly enjoyed a cup of their fantastic coffee of the day (again free because of my wait) while I waited: Almond(?) Amaretto. Very homey atmosphere, cute decorating, fabulous food. First time in today...purchased a large chocolate cupcake for my daughter and 2 small lemon cupcakes. My daughter had to leave and she took her cupcake with her...she just sent me a text that said, "Best cupcake ever." Lovely place, very friendly staff and the decor is perfect.
