Subway's annual convention was recently held in San Francisco, and they once again held their "Sub Jammer" competition to see who could make a perfect Subway foot long sandwich in the shortest amount of time.
Byron Shea from Neenah, Wisconsin won for the second time in three years with a time of 46.6 seconds. Shea is no stranger to the competition, having placed in the top three every year since 2007.
Sub Jammers are judged on speed, appearance of the sandwich, distribution of ingredients and formula accuracy. Each Sandwich Artist taking part in the Sub Jammers competition all won regional events to earn a spot in the championship round in California.
Bryon was awarded a check for $3,000. Mana Dangol, from San Rafael, California, won $2,000 for second place (47.8 seconds). Sharon Hall, of Waco, Texas, received $1,000 for her third place finish (50.2 seconds).
