This is the BEST pizza place around! The pizza is yummy, of course, but they also have many other wonderful items on the menu. My personal favorites (besides the pizza) are the lasagna and the cheese bread (get it with spaghetti sauce for dipping - so good). From the first time we went there, we felt welcomed and like the owners and other workers genuinely care about each customer. Service is always prompt, but not so fast that you wonder if it was all just sitting around waiting to be heated up quickly. It's homemade with great ingredients by people who care about the food they put out. We haven't had pizza from a "chain" store since D's came around. :) (Sun, 2012-01-15 12:50)

I'll happily drive the 60 miles to enjoy a pizza at D's Family Pizza. The pizzas are better than anything I have ever had and the service is warm, wonderful and attentive. Personally, I usually order whatever the staff recommends that day and I am always impressed. (Sun, 2012-01-15 12:02)

I grew up loving Tasty Pizza in Brooklyn Park, and was so excited when I found out the original was coming to Albertville.

Order the thicker crust...Best I've had in a long long time! We are hooked and have crossed the other "chains" off the list for pizza night. We just had our 1st and last pizza from D's. We ordered the double cheeseburger one. The flavor was okay but the crust (which we wanted crispy) was so tough we had to use steak knives to cut it up. (Sun, 2011-08-14 17:14)

They won't let me say this on their Facebook page, but there's no better pizza in Minnesota than D's Family Pizza. I've had pizza from Skagway, Alaska to Boston, MA and can tell you it's one of the best around. Their service is also impeccable. Ignore the Anonymous wonder, it's simply not true. The "worst service" "review" is ridiculous. We've been to D's Family Pizza 3-4 times since they opened and every time - EVERY time - the pizza has been perfect (I'm just just saying that, I'm saying they were perfect pizzas), their service was impeccable, and even when busy they took good care of us. In our business there's always some crackpot who childishly didn't get their way so they whine, exaggerate or make stuff up. It's clear that the anonymous "review" is just that. If you've not been to D's Family Pizza please don't make your decision based on what that nutbar says. It's not accurate, not even close. I'm not an owner, not related, and, in fact, old political opponents of the owners. I have every reason to agree with that person. But truth matters, and the fact is, their pizza, service and pricing is fabulous. (Tue, 2011-05-24 06:12)
